Ingredients:
2 cups dry roasted peanuts
2 teaspoons peanut oil
Pour peanuts in Ninja and pulse.
When it starts to look like sand (about a min) scrap the sides down and add the oil.
Pulse another minute to a minute and a half it should start to become creamy.
That's it you are done.
I kept asking myself. "Why do I keep buying peanut butter? I don't know what most of the ingredients are, and the ones I do know are, peanuts and oil." I could go to the stores that let you make it right there, but they are so expensive it's not in the budget. So I decided to make it myself at home with the kids. I bought a container of peanuts, the only ingredients were: peanuts and sea salt. We put them in the Ninja food processor and gave it a go. It came out so good and not at all oily either like the all natural ones you can buy. My kids loved it, I loved it, and I don't think I'll ever go back to buying peanut butter!
P.S.
What a wonderful recipe and instructional post. Why not make your own? This shows exactly how and what! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt was easy and warm when we were done we didn't even wait to get it out of the Ninja we ate it from there.
DeleteGreat advice. Why not make our own? I wonder if this would work with other nuts too?
